Not as a pirate link site, if the reports are right. After US Homeland Security Investigations seized istream2watch.com during the 2022 World Cup, the site was back on istream2watch.stream the same day. In 2023, worn down by automated DMCA requests, it reportedly stopped linking to unauthorized streams and began showing schedules for licensed broadcasters. Only one listings site has reported that switch, so read it as likely rather than proven.

Plenty of the Stream2Watch pages in search results aren't the original. ACE took control of stream2watches.com in December 2024. Two months later the US seized stream2watch.dev, stream2watchhd.com, stream2watchhd.xyz and two streams2watch domains.   1. During the Qatar World Cup, US Homeland Security Investigations seized istream2watch.com with other sports streaming domains; the site moved to istream2watch.stream the same day.
  2. Stream2Watch was reported to have stopped linking to unauthorised streams because of automated DMCA requests, switching to schedules for official providers.
  3. The lookalike domain stream2watches.com was among clone sports streaming domains taken over by ACE.
  4. US authorities seized stream2watch.dev, stream2watchhd.com, stream2watchhd.xyz, streams2watch.app and streams2watch.xyz among more than 200 sports streaming domains.
  5. stream2watch.ir was found registered on Iran's .ir domain but not serving any content, in a cluster of reserve domains.

Is Stream2Watch Safe?

That depends on which Stream2Watch you land on, and the sensible move is to assume the worst. A schedule page that points to licensed channels carries little risk beyond its own ads. The lookalikes are another matter: domains like stream2watchhd and streams2watch were set up to catch people searching for the old name, and they behave like any anonymous stream site.

Signs you are on one of them:

  • the player starts only after you close two or three new tabs
  • a 'download HD player' prompt or an offer to add a browser extension
  • a request to allow notifications that later turn into scam alerts
  • an account or age check that asks for card details or an ID photo

Any of those can end in malware or a stolen card, and adult ads usually come along too. The seized copies now show an enforcement notice instead of a player. If you typed a card number into a lookalike, call your bank and have the card replaced.
