NHL66
NHL66 is an unlicensed NHL streaming site for US and Canadian hockey fans, the hockey arm of a '66' network with MLB66, NBA66 and NFL66. Its .org, .biz and .dev domains were taken over or seized in 2024 and 2025; by July 2026 the operation ran on Iran's .ir extension.

Probably, though at no address anyone can confirm. A TorrentFreak report from July 2026 placed the joint nhl66 and mlb66 operation on Iran's .ir extension, yet it never named the NHL66 domain there.
The older homes are gone. ACE took over nhl66.org in December 2024, and US authorities seized nhl66.biz during their Super Bowl crackdown in February 2025, with nhl66.dev following later that month. Two newer names circulate. nhl66.pro is where a third-party "nhl66 popup" add-on for Opera and an "nhl66pro" listing on Gumroad both send people, and nhl66.it.com showed up in 2026 search results. Neither has a known link to the people behind the original. The baseball twin is easier to trace: MLB66 still answers on mlb66.ir.
Our checker requests each of these addresses once a day and marks how it replied. For tonight's puck drop: the watch row.
What Happened to NHL66
- nhl66.org and sister domain mlb66.org were among the sports streaming domains taken over by ACE.
- nhl66.biz, mlb66.biz and nba66.biz were seized by US authorities during the Super Bowl crackdown.
- Further US seizures took nhl66.dev along with mlb66, nba66 and nfl66 domains on .app and .dev.
- TorrentFreak reported a separate mlb66 and nhl66 operation using Iran's .ir extension, which had been in use for some time.
Is NHL66 Safe?
The add-on tells you a lot. Both the Opera add-on called "nhl66 popup" and the "nhl66pro" page on Gumroad steer people to nhl66.pro, and nobody knows who is behind either. A browser extension can be allowed to see and change every page you open, which makes it a far bigger risk than one bad tab.
The sites themselves bring the usual mix for unlicensed hockey streams: pop-ups, surprise tabs, fake play buttons, adult (18+) ads and prompts to install more software. At its worst that software is malware, the "allow notifications" box becomes a feed of scam warnings, and a "premium access" form collects card details or passport and ID scans.
If you added the extension, open your browser's extensions page, remove it and restart the browser. Then pick a service: NHL games in your country.

Frequently Asked Questions
What Is NHL66?
NHL66 is a free, unlicensed English-language site that streams NHL games, and its audience sits mainly in the US and Canada. It runs alongside MLB66, NBA66 and NFL66 in a '66' network. Its .org domain was taken over by ACE in December 2024, and US agents seized its .biz and .dev domains in February 2025. By July 2026 TorrentFreak reported the operation running on Iran's .ir extension.
What is the new NHL66 address?
There's no confirmed one. TorrentFreak didn't name the .ir domain NHL66 uses. The two names you'll find, nhl66.pro and nhl66.it.com, come from a browser add-on, a Gumroad page and search results, and none of these shows who runs them.
What is the nhl66 popup extension?
A third-party add-on in Opera's store that sends users to nhl66.pro, with a matching "nhl66pro" listing on Gumroad. Neither is tied to any known operator. An extension like this can be given access to every page you visit, so skip it, and remove it if it's already installed.
Why did NHL66 lose its domains?
They were caught in two waves of enforcement aimed at the whole '66' network. ACE took nhl66.org and mlb66.org together in December 2024. US authorities followed in February 2025, seizing nhl66.biz and nhl66.dev, plus .app and .dev domains belonging to MLB66, NBA66 and NFL66.
Is NHL66 legal?
No. NHL66 airs hockey that neither the NHL nor any broadcaster licensed to it, and that is exactly what put nhl66.org, nhl66.biz and nhl66.dev on seizure and takeover lists. A move to .ir changes where the site is registered, not what it does.
Is NHL66 connected to MLB66?
Yes. They come from one network, and in July 2026 TorrentFreak described them as a single mlb66 and nhl66 operation on Iran's .ir extension. They also lost their .org domains to ACE in the same December 2024 action. MLB66 covers the baseball side and its busier addresses.
Is NHL66 the same as NHLbite?
No. NHLbite was a link directory from a different family, the 'bite' sites, while NHL66 streams games itself. Both have lost a run of domains to the same seizures, and neither is safe to use now. See NHLbite for that story.
Where can I watch the NHL legally?
Start with our NHL page, set to your country, which names the channels and apps with hockey there and any free options. Other leagues are on the ice hockey page. Some betting sites show NHL games as well: place a bet, then watch on the same site.
Does a VPN make NHL66 safe?
No. The risky parts of NHL66 are on the page itself, and a VPN doesn't filter them. It's worth having for legal viewing: your own hockey service keeps working on a trip abroad, and a foreign one becomes reachable, in up to 4K.
What else do people call NHL66?
People look for it as nhl 66, nhl66 streams, nhl66 hockey, nhl66 reddit and nhl66.org, the address ACE took over in 2024. Those searches now lead to newer copies or to the seized domain.
