Sportsurge
Sportsurge is a free directory of stream links that took off once Reddit shut its sports streaming communities in 2019. Most of its users are American fans of the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and UFC, with some UK football viewers, and it still runs on changing domains.

Sportsurge has never formally closed, and domains under its name were still active in 2026. The address most people know is sportsurge.net. Its fallback, sportsurge.ir, received its first security certificate on 22 September 2023 and was still online after the US seizures of July 2026.
The rest of its addresses get picked off one at a time. In 2026 alone, UEFA's Delhi High Court order covered sportsurge100.is in February, a Premier League request named sportsurge.bz in May, sportsurge.ws was seized in June, and sportsurgez.com and mysportsurge.ws followed in July. Its operators remain unnamed, even though the Premier League has asked both Cloudflare and a domain registrar to reveal them.
Every Sportsurge address listed here goes through our own test each day, and the label next to it shows the latest result. Prefer a licensed stream? See what covers your country.
What Happened to Sportsurge
- The Premier League listed sportsurge.club in a US subpoena request to Cloudflare targeting dozens of streaming sites.
- A Paris court's DNS blocking order against Google, Cloudflare and Cisco included sportsurge.app.
- sportsurge.io and sport-surge.com were among the sports streaming domains taken over by ACE.
- UEFA's Delhi High Court blocking order included sportsurge100.is.
- The Premier League named sportsurge.bz in a request asking registrar Tucows to unmask streaming site operators.
- sportsurge.ws was seized in the US 'Operation Offsides' World Cup crackdown.
- sportsurgez.com was seized in a later 'Operation Offsides' wave, and mysportsurge.ws followed in the final batch.
Is Sportsurge Safe?
There is no safe version of it. Sportsurge is a directory: it hosts few or no streams itself and sends you to player pages run by other people. So one match can take you through several sites, each with its own ads and its own owner you know nothing about.
Here is what that chain usually adds up to. The listing page can open new tabs and redirects as soon as you click a match. The stream page behind it lays fake play buttons over the video and pushes adult (18+) banners. Somewhere along the way you may be asked to allow notifications, install a "player" or extension, or fill in a form with your card or ID details, and any of those can end with malware or stolen data.
If you clicked through and your browser now opens pages by itself, check its extensions list, delete anything you didn't add, and clear the site data for every domain you visited.
One click, no chain: watch on a licensed service.

Frequently Asked Questions
What Is Sportsurge?
Sportsurge is a free directory of links to live sports streams, best known at sportsurge.net. It grew after Reddit closed its sports streaming communities in 2019 and now draws mostly American fans looking for NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and UFC games, plus a smaller group of UK football viewers. The site lists streams rather than producing them. It is still running in 2026, though its domains keep being blocked and seized.
Does Sportsurge host the streams?
Mostly not. It is a link aggregator: each match page lists streams kept on other sites, and clicking one hands you over to a stranger's player. That is why the quality, the ads and the risks change from one link to the next, even on the same game.
What is sportsurge.ir?
It is the fallback domain Sportsurge prepared in 2023. TorrentFreak found that sportsurge.ir and buffstreams.ir got their first SSL certificates within six minutes of each other on 22 September 2023, and that both sit on a Ukrainian IP address previously used by the seized sportsurge.ws. It stayed online after the July 2026 seizures.
Is Sportsurge connected to Buffstreams?
The two share infrastructure, which suggests a common hand. Their .ir fallbacks were set up minutes apart and use the same server, and both brands rely on rotating mirrors. Nobody has named the operators of either. Our Buffstreams page has its own addresses and history.
Why does the Premier League keep targeting Sportsurge?
Football is part of what Sportsurge lists, and some of its audience is in the UK. The league named sportsurge.club in a December 2023 subpoena request to Cloudflare covering dozens of streaming sites, and in May 2026 it listed sportsurge.bz when it asked the registrar Tucows to reveal who runs them.
Is Sportsurge legal?
No. The streams it lists are shown without the consent of the leagues and broadcasters holding the rights. As a result, a Paris court included sportsurge.app in a May 2024 DNS blocking order against Google, Cloudflare and Cisco, and ACE took over sportsurge.io and sport-surge.com that December.
Where can I watch NFL and NBA games instead of Sportsurge?
Choose the league, and our page for it shows the broadcasters and apps that carry the games in your country, free ones included. Go to the NFL or NBA page; UK fans can use the Premier League page for football.
Does a VPN make Sportsurge safe?
No. A VPN reroutes your connection, but it doesn't touch the scripts a Sportsurge listing or the player behind it runs, so the fake buttons and install prompts still reach you. It is worth having for legal streaming, though: if you already pay for an NFL or NBA package, a VPN keeps it playing on holiday overseas, in up to 4K.
What else do people call Sportsurge?
The usual variants are sport surge, sports surge and sportssurge, along with sportsurge.net and searches like sportsurge nba or sportsurge streams. Results for all of them mix the familiar domains with short-lived mirrors, many of which are seized within months.
