FirstRow, or FirstRowSports, was a giant of early-2010s stream linking, framing free football, rugby and cricket for over a million visitors a day. The Premier League won its first UK High Court blocking order against it in 2013, and sites using the name now are copies.

Is FirstRow Still Working?

No. The original FirstRow is gone, and every site that uses the name today is a copy. Its owners were never named, and the last address tied to them, firstrows.eu, was still FirstRow's busiest UK domain in early 2016, two and a half years after a High Court order made British ISPs block the site. No FirstRow page since then has been traced back to them.

The name itself never went quiet. firstrowsports.org was seized in July 2026, in the second wave of the US Operation Offsides crackdown timed to the World Cup, and firstrowl.xyz turned up on a Paris court's list for VPN providers to block in May 2025. Older mirrors such as ifirstrowuk.eu, gofirstrow.eu and firstrownow.eu came and went on .eu endings. Each of these addresses gets a fresh visit from our checker every day, and the label beside it is what came back.

This weekend's football, rugby and cricket are in the watch row, country by country.

What Happened to FirstRow

  1. US authorities seized firstrow.net in a round of domain seizures before the Super Bowl; the site carried on under other domains.
  2. In another Super Bowl crackdown the US seized firstrow.tv, firstrowsports.tv, firstrowsports.net and firstrowsports.com, and the site moved to firstrowsports.eu within hours.
  3. The Premier League told UK ISPs it would seek a High Court order to block firstrow1.eu, then among the 500 most-visited sites in the UK.
  4. High Court Judge Arnold ordered six UK ISPs to block FirstRow, ruling that it was responsible for the streams it framed even though it hosted none.
  5. New UK blocks on Rojadirecta, LiveTV and other sports sites were reported as an expansion of the FirstRow order.
  6. The FA and Premier League added dozens of further FirstRow domains to UK ISP filters, while firstrows.eu, then its most popular UK domain, was left off the list.
  7. firstrowsports.org was among the fallback domains seized in the second wave of the US 'Operation Offsides' World Cup crackdown.

Is FirstRow Safe?

Not really. FirstRow never hosted a single stream: it framed players from other sites, and a UK judge held it responsible for them anyway. So the ads on one match page could come from the site itself and from whoever hosted each player. The copies using the name now are built the same way, with nobody you can trace at any step.

That layering is where the trouble comes from:

  • a second tab that opens the moment you touch the player
  • a fake close cross or play arrow drawn on top of the video
  • an offer to install a codec, a browser add-on or a phone app
  • 18+ dating banners, some of them with sound

The rarer outcomes are the expensive ones: malware hidden in those installers, a request to allow notifications that turns into a stream of fake alerts, or a page that wants card details or an ID photo to unlock HD. If you went through with one, run a full scan, clear the site's notification permission and ask your bank to stop the card.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is FirstRow?

FirstRow, also known as FirstRowSports, was a link site that framed free live streams hosted elsewhere, mostly football but also rugby and cricket, in English for viewers in the UK and worldwide. In the early 2010s it drew more than a million visitors a day, and some UK pubs used it to show the Saturday 3pm Premier League games that British TV doesn't carry live. In July 2013 it became the target of the first UK High Court blocking order the Premier League won. The original is long gone; the name survives only on copies.

Why was FirstRow blocked in the UK?

Because it put live Premier League matches in front of a huge audience without permission: in June 2013 firstrow1.eu was among the 500 most-visited sites in Britain. The next month Judge Arnold ordered six UK ISPs to block it, ruling that FirstRow was responsible for the streams it framed even though it hosted none. UEFA, the PGA European Tour and the Rugby Football Union backed the case.

What is the new FirstRow address?

There is no new address from the original team. Every FirstRow site seen in recent years is run by people who can't be tied to the original, and firstrowsports.org, one of the better-known ones, was seized by US authorities in July 2026. The names people still search for are printed above without links, each beside the result of today's check.

What happened to firstrowsports.eu?

It was the emergency home FirstRow moved to within hours of the February 2012 US seizures, which took firstrow.tv, firstrowsports.tv, firstrowsports.net and firstrowsports.com in a crackdown before the Super Bowl. A year earlier firstrow.net had gone the same way. Today firstrowsports.eu is one of many FirstRow names people still type.

Who ran FirstRow, and how much did it make?

The owners were never identified. They were based outside the US and told TorrentFreak in 2012 that the site was legal where they lived. In the UK case, the Premier League's expert estimated FirstRow's revenue at 5.4 to 9.5 million pounds a year, while the owner put it at about 6,000 pounds a month, with 4,000 of that going on servers.

Did UK pubs really show matches from FirstRow?

Yes, some did. FirstRow was known for the Saturday 3pm Premier League games, a kickoff slot British broadcasters can't show live, which made it handy for pubs that wanted those matches on screen. For the channels and apps that have each game where you live, see our Premier League page.

Where can I watch rugby and cricket instead?

Our rugby and cricket pages list who shows each competition in your country, from the Six Nations to Test cricket, with free channels included where a country has them. Several betting sites also stream these sports: place a bet and watch, 18+ only.

Does a VPN make a FirstRow copy any safer?

No. A VPN changes the road your traffic takes, not what the page loads, so a FirstRow copy can still throw the same pop-ups and fake installers at you. In France a court has even ordered VPN providers to block firstrowl.xyz. A VPN earns its keep with a service you already pay for, which it keeps streaming in up to 4K while you are abroad.

What else do people call FirstRow?

Searches come in as first row, firstrowsports, first row sports, firstrow sports, firstrows and firstrow1, plus ifirstrow and the old address firstrowsports.eu. All of them now lead to copies or dead domains rather than to the site that the Premier League took to court.
