Rojadirecta
Rojadirecta is a Spanish link index, started by Igor Seoane in 2005, that points Spanish-speaking fans to live football, basketball, tennis and motor racing streams. It has never announced a shutdown, but it is blocked in Spain and elsewhere, and dozens of unrelated copies borrow its name.

Is Rojadirecta Still Working?
As far as anyone has reported, yes. The original Rojadirecta has never announced a shutdown, and rojadirecta.me, registered to Igor Seoane's company Puerto 80 Projects, is its home address. What it can't do is reach everyone: after a court in A Coruña ordered it in 2016 to stop linking to unlicensed football, it shut its doors to visitors from Spain, and providers in Italy, Denmark, Ecuador and Peru have been told to block it as well.
Most of what appears under the name today isn't Seoane's. Rojadirectatv, rojadirectatvhd and rojadirectaenvivo are lookalikes with no tie to him, and LaLiga counted about 80 Rojadirecta-style domains in 2024. During the 2026 World Cup, US agents took several of them, including rojadirectastv.org, rojadirectatv.net and rojadirectatvhd.net. A month later TelevisaUnivision added Roja Directa, alongside StrikeOut and RBTV77, to a Florida injunction that had registrars suspending more. Every address in our list gets visited by our checker once a day, so the statuses above are today's.

What Happened to Rojadirecta
- Igor Seoane launched Rojadirecta, later run through his company Puerto 80 Projects.
- US authorities seized rojadirecta.com and rojadirecta.org under Operation In Our Sites, and the site kept running on its .es and .me domains.
- The US government dropped its forfeiture case and the two domains were returned to Puerto 80.
- The Commercial Court of A Coruña ordered Rojadirecta to stop linking to unauthorised football streams after a complaint by Mediapro, and the site later closed to visitors from Spain.
- A Danish court ordered ISP Telenor to block Rojadirecta at the request of RettighedsAlliancen and LaLiga, after earlier blocking orders in Ecuador and Peru that year.
- Spain's Supreme Court ruled that operator Igor Seoane was personally liable for the infringements committed through the site.
- A commercial court in A Coruña ordered Puerto 80 and Seoane to pay Mediapro EUR 31.6 million in damages for the 2014/15 season.
- Rojadirecta-named lookalike domains such as rojadirectastv.org, rojadirectatv.net and rojadirectatvhd.net were seized in the US Operation Offsides during the World Cup.
Is Rojadirecta Safe?
Not really, and that holds even for the original. Rojadirecta hosts no video of its own. It is a list of links, and every link opens a player on somebody else's server, wrapped in that stranger's ads. The lookalikes add one more layer of people nobody can name.
On those players, the routine trouble looks like this:
- a fresh tab that springs open with your first tap
- a big round play icon that is really an ad
- a demand for some codec, add-on or APK before the video starts
- 18+ ads sitting next to the match
The rarer kind does real damage: files that carry malware, a notifications prompt that later pushes fake virus warnings, or a box asking for a card number or a scan of your ID to unlock HD. If that has already happened, call your bank to block the card before doing anything else.

Frequently Asked Questions
What Is Rojadirecta?
Rojadirecta is one of the oldest sports link sites on the web. Igor Seoane started it in Spain in 2005 and later ran it through his company, Puerto 80 Projects. It doesn't host streams itself; it points Spanish speakers in Spain, Latin America and the rest of Europe to matches in football, basketball, tennis and motorsport. It is still online as far as anyone knows, but blocked in Spain and several other countries, and a Spanish court has ordered Seoane and Puerto 80 to pay Mediapro EUR 31.6 million in damages.
Why can't I open Rojadirecta in Spain?
Spanish courts ordered it to stop linking to unlicensed football. A commercial court in A Coruña ruled against it in 2016 after a complaint from Mediapro, a second ruling followed in 2018, and the site then closed itself to Spanish visitors. Providers in Denmark, Italy, Ecuador and Peru received blocking orders too, so the same wall goes up there.
What happened to rojadirecta.com and rojadirecta.org?
US authorities seized both in January 2011 under Operation In Our Sites, while the site carried on from its .es and .me addresses. In August 2012 the government dropped its forfeiture case and returned the two domains to Puerto 80. Getting seized domains back from the US is a big part of why Rojadirecta is so well known.
Is Rojadirecta legal?
Rojadirecta never had the rights holders' consent for the matches it links to, and Spanish courts have ruled against it again and again. In November 2022 the Supreme Court held Seoane personally liable for infringements committed through the site. In December 2024 a court in A Coruña set damages for the 2014/15 season at EUR 31.6 million. A separate criminal case is open, though Seoane has not been convicted of any crime.
Is Rojadirecta TV the same as Rojadirecta?
No. Rojadirecta TV, Rojadirectatvhd, Rojadirecta en vivo and similar names belong to copycat sites with nothing to do with Seoane. Names that bolt tv, hd or envivo onto the brand are the usual sign of a copy, and several of those, such as rojadirectatv.net, were seized in the US in June 2026.
What is the new Rojadirecta address?
There isn't a new one to announce. The original still sits on rojadirecta.me and has not moved to any of the long variants that crowd search results. We print every domain we track for the name above, unlinked, with today's test result beside it.
Where can I watch LaLiga and the Champions League instead?
Rights are sold country by country, so it depends on where you are. Our LaLiga and Champions League pages follow your location and list who holds the matches there. Several bookmakers stream them too, for anyone who places a bet.
Does a VPN get me around the Rojadirecta block?
It can get you past the block, but it won't protect you from what the streams carry: the ads, fake buttons and downloads arrive through the VPN just the same. Where a VPN pulls its weight is with paid services: your own football app keeps running on a trip abroad, or a foreign service opens, with streams up to 4K.
What else do people call Rojadirecta?
Searches use roja directa, rojadirecta tv, rojadirectatv and roja directa en vivo, along with addresses like rojadirecta.me and rojadirecta.eu. Only the short addresses lead anywhere near the original; most results for the longer forms are copies.
